By the year 1995 the convention was held at the downtown St. ![]() We were going for three days with 65 Steel players and 25 distributors. By this time nine foreign countries were represented. In 1977 the name was changed again to International Steel Guitar Convention. The convention was held at the Ramada Inn with about 500 people and for the first time distributors were set up around the hall. In 1971 the name was changed to National Steel Guitar Convention, with 12 Steel Guitar players. This show was held at the Parkway Motel and the first performer was Maurice Anderson with about 75 people in attendance. ![]() "In 1968 Scotty had his first Steel Guitar Show.
